01 / The development framework

Begin with a foundation

L2H is an initiative of Hummingbird Art & Culture Foundation Ltd., executed by Hummingbird Film Studios Inc. Founder Umar John’s vision places creative development at its center. The first stage establishes the relationships, learning priorities and practical arrangements that each activity needs. The founding industry relationship with Shehzad Rafique and the Pakistan Film Producers Association belongs within this foundation; it does not imply that every future activity has already been agreed.

02 / The development framework

Move from discovery to practice

Talent discovery is intended to introduce emerging voices through clearly defined opportunities. Workshops and mentorship then provide space to build craft, followed by screenplay development where appropriate. Short-form filmmaking can test the relationship between an idea and its execution. Participants should be able to understand the purpose of an exercise, the feedback process and the material they are expected to develop before beginning.

03 / The development framework

Build outward with intention

The later stages explore international exchange and continuing creative collaboration. These may connect practitioners, educators and production interests around specific work. Progress is not automatic: a workshop, script lab and production opportunity may each have different entry requirements. Individual announcements will establish availability, facilitators, schedules, resources and participation terms. The framework is a direction for sustained development, with each confirmed activity carrying its own practical commitments.

For each proposed activity, a delivery brief can connect its purpose with the people responsible, the resources required and the material participants will develop. This makes the roadmap useful as a planning structure as well as a statement of ambition.
